I can't believe that the new year has begun and started out with a bang. Well not really but I am being optomistic for 2009. I've set some goals for myself that I am hoping to really achieve. Let me take you back to a few high lights of 2008..
As you know my favorite place is Disneyland, I was blessed with the opportunity to be able to go TWICE!! Both trips were great, special memories created. The trip we took in October was amazing. Troy and I took our time looking around and really enjoying being together and just taking in the ambiance of where we were. I had done a scrapbook page once with the topic of if I could live anywhere in Disneyland where would I live. I chose this cute little house front complete with a porch. For the first time Troy and I took the time to sit on "my porch". Karina and Gavin shared a carmel apple with me and we sat there and people watched. This was my favorite memory of this particular trip. I had a new camera for this trip as well so it was so much fun taking tons more pictures. Although, I do need to get another battery because of course my battery died.
Another highlight for 2008 - My daughter Meghan finally decided to come to Arizona she arrived on New Years Eve and is still with us. I have been so blessed to have a wonderful family and the friends that I have. I am cherishing the time I have with Meg and wish with all my heart Andrew would have also come with her.
2008 had it's share of challenges as well. Ups and Downs come with every year. I had some health issues that I'm still struggling with. I stopped smoking and started again. Working on stopping again.
My great friend Jen lost her baby boy just before my birthday but yet she and Derald called me on my birthday to sing to me. It was a memory I will always carry with me. Bittersweet. It was amazing to me how they could be going through so much and hurting yet they remembered me. It really made me feel special. My friend Miranda decorated my desk at work and that was simply AMAZING!! I loved it. Both of these women are those people that if they are a part of your life your just simply blessed. I wish them both the greatest of years. Oh and Jen is expecting another baby in May and everything is going great!! I am super excited for her and Derald.
Well I suppose I've rambled enough but I promise to write on here once a week. :) C'ya all on the flip side. Happy 2009!

Thanks Miss Kathy! You certainly do have a lot to be grateful for. It makes me feel like I need to express more gratitude for the wonderful things that happen in my life. Even the small things, like sitting on a porch and enjoying a caramel apple.
I miss you and I hope you're doing great! I'm so glad that your daughter got to come and visit. What a treat! I would have liked to meet her.
I hope to see you soon! (Baby shower, anyone???) And catch up! Thanks again for your sweet words. Love ya!
